At times all of us would wish to live in a world more stable and tranquil, – but the fact is the world isn’t like this. Our times are both complicated and perplexing, but even though they are difficult and perplexing the challenges are still filled with hope and opportunity, even though the dynamics of reality are often confronting and little hopeful. It’s all about perceptions and choices. We are interconnected.

We simply have to look to the past weeks and learn from the events as they happened.

When we look around there is a lot of tragedy and suffering going on and though tragedy might be a tool to get wisdom for the living,  it is neither a guide by which to live, nor has it been showing a real learning curve in history. The challenges our world is faced with are hard to be solved by the sceptics who can’t look beyond their restricted perceptions of the obvious realities, neither can they be solved in the retaliation of violence where this should be avoided.

I always found some comfort in the words spoken by Albert Schweitzer. He said in summary-that civilization is only working the right direction when life is considered to be sacred, and apart from human life he did include the lives of plants and animals.

As caretakers of this earth – he said – we have to protect and support life, within our reasonable options. It all has to do with compassion, which should embrace all living creatures as the guiding principle of morality. He called it: ” Reference for life.”

It might be hard to go that far, but if our choices tend to go more towards the direction protecting at least the human rights we need to stand for, this would be already an improvement.

As history unfortunately however shows at times, we had to go to war to remove the kind of criminals certain countries did not deserve to rule their nation. The sort of people who abused both their country and their people from a position of high authority. This is what happened when Allied Forces decided to strike Libia to stop Gaddafi killing far more of his civilians, and this decision was good as the intention was to prevent worse.

More countries do show unrest and dissatisfaction at large scale with the way people are treated and suppressed, people disappearing through forces of eg secret police etc.

Demonstrations have spread across various countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Countries often with an oppressive leadership. Whilst human rights were seriously compromised in Egypt for many years already, – only during the uprise of the Egyptian people Hosni (Muhammad) Mubarak had to go.

Still there is a long way to go.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia are seen as the most powerful Arab friends of the US and a strategic focus will be still in place and operational perhaps, despite liberation movements. It is not the easiest place for the US Obama administration as it could get easily caught in increasing policy contradictions where on the one hand there is a crack down on enemy governments which kills its people and on the other hand favoring countries like Bahrain and Yemen that kills its demonstrators.

Obviously bombing the Libyan leader Gaddafi’s air defenses falls within the UN security council resolutions of imposing a “no -fly zone” (Resolution 1973) and taking the required actions to stop Gaddafi from killing civilians in his own country.

This does not take away that with increasing unrest situations political courage and guiding principles are important where it comes to dealing with powers compromising human rights at a larger scale. The dilemma’s might be difficult. The question often is when it applies to countries not being familiar with democratic principles as we know them, what will happen if opponents remove a brutal dictator. What will happen in the aftermath and whether it is possible to rebuild the country with better law enforcement on human rights and basic other liberties, or whether matters get worse amidst chaos allowing eg Al-quaida elements to get the better in all the destruction, and more influence in such areas, – with even more human agony spreading down the line.

Diplomacy on this issue requires utterly clarity on the right direction and support for all democratic movements around the globe which are stronger than the minority of their oppressors, and those who want to make a real break with a past of cruelty and violence. Like it is the ultimate aim to convince Colonel Gaddafi to step down from power, the same could apply to different leaders in the future as well.

It was Abraham Lincoln who once said that:” Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and to shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is the most valuable – a most sacred right – a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.”

Whilst there is no easy answer for many predicaments in this world and smoke still spewing from 2 adjacent reactors at the Fukushimadaiichi nuclear plant, it is  that both the earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear challenges in Japan are among the most expensive disasters and that rapid international support could have been more forthcoming at an earlier stage. Japan had  much  trouble with many natural disasters in the past but the death toll and aftermath for many of those living now amidst the extremes of sudden poverty and grief is beyond any imagination.

Like it is objectionable that it proved to be hard to get timely a UN resolution in place to stop Gaddafi, – it is objectionable as well that the countries who did perceive Japan as neighbors friends and partners (besides allies), did not join together in providing organized support to those who are displaced, -with little shelter or food.

With more natural disasters happening in the future, it would seem countries are more ready to go to war rather than helping each other in the scenario’s like Japan is facing today.

The UN needs to have rapid intervention forces for humanitarian aid, – available within 24 hours after a major disaster all over the world to cut prolonged anguish and suffering. We need to learn from those disasters and both learning and leadership are indispensable to each other as a tool.

The late US Senator Robert Kennedy once quoted from the Greeks  many years ago:”To tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world.” He did put it in the right context. When he used this quote amidst racial violence in the US and a Vietnam war during the mid 60ties of the last century.

We have a free choice to do it this way in the arena of our human activity, and change a small part of the burdens of our world.

At some stage all our acts will be written in the history of our families and communities, and if important enough in the history of our countries and in history itself.

It’s about the bit we did on earth and how we did it, – when we are laid to rest.

And if our actions and choices were directed rightly, –  it was good.

Good enough to lay down in peace..

Thank you!

We had no business going into Libya and over throwing Gaddafi, nor did we with over throwing Mubarak, and it has created much more and will create much more suffering as ever they have experienced before and it has given power to an even more threatening vice such as the world has never before seen, the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood…

Neither of these leaders were good men by any standard, but they were a controlled evil, one that could still maintain peace in the Mideast…What you have there now in their stead cannot, will not ever be controlled, they are chaotic and insanely blood lustful and absolutely the most intolerable group of inhuman beings as one could only meet in nightmares, for they are truly what nightmares are made of, and they are evil to within their very core, they are born and bred death machines and are proving that they will kill as indiscriminately as Hitler once did and without any remorse and their body counts are climbing…

Your absolutely wrong here in your observation, in whatever that truly consist of, and the Mideast is in turmoil because of these over thrown governments and Syria will prove just that when it too falls as the Brotherhood expands their power, a power that will become absolutely uncontrollable and if you think Gaddafi and Mubarak were evil and cruel, then you haven’t seen anything yet, and have irresponsibly dismissed already the horror shows put on by the victors of these over thrown dictators, how could you have possibly erred so badly in your assumptions that the Mideast is now in a better place without these two men, are you not informed about the horrors that the Sunni Brotherhood are committed too, are you so blind that you have been amissed of the sheer wantonness of their hatred to the living, it will only get worse from here and because you and others thought it wise to get rid of a controllable evil to that of pure chaotic hatred?

If Syria falls you will have the following…

I’ve said it often, if Syria falls to the Sunni Brotherhood as did Libya and Egypt, so falls Lebanon, Jordan & the West Bank, Hamas PM Ismail Haniyeh will march against the Shia Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah to clean out Lebanon of the Shiite’s, he will then march through the West Bank like an Arab plague and slaughter the fabricated Palestinian fools who thought themselves significant….These Non Arab Palestinians Nomads have only been tolerated because they too killed Jews, but President Abaas and his PLO have been on the side lines for far to long for Hamas to even find them remotely useful, and perhaps more of a hindrance politically than as a useful “Antisemitic” terrorist Allie…

King Abdullah knows that if Syria falls to the Brotherhood, he and his people are going to be forced into a world of horrors and will most likely either concede his power over to the Sunni Brotherhood or agree to a power sharing government, to which I believe, either way, he’ll be assassinated, they will not want him alive, it’s the Arab way and is why he has been personally warning President Obama and may I add, to no avail, this President is encouraging this disaster in the making and the Mideast will never recover from it ever!!!!

King Abdullah is trying to save his Kingship now, and it’s all to telling by way of his actions of what he believes is inevitably charging towards him and I have news for him, the ebb tide has now turned into a tidal flood and he is doomed to drown a horrible Arab death, the Sunni Arabs will want to make a statement as they did with Qaddafi’s torture and then his execution and it’s just a matter of time now?

Kerry and Obama are speeding things up by pouring tax payers money, Tanks & F-16s into the hands of the FSA and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mohamed Morsi, which we know will be turned against Israel, Obama’s recent trip to Israel was to soothe their fears and to put them in a false sense of security and at ease and, it worked all to well, he charmed the britches off and good senses from the majority of the younger Jews who were hand picked from the leftist party to attend and give praise for Obama’s speech, like everything else about Obama it was yet another fabricated show to wow a daft world and they’ll pay for that as well, just as we are here in the United States, but on a much much larger scale than we could ever imagine…It is going to prove all to damning for Israels future…

It’s all about Jerusalem, it has always been so and it will always be so, if they can surround Israel with overwhelming numbers, they believe they can get Jerusalem by intimidating threats and concessions, it’s their number one goal and you and I know the Jews at some point in the future, possibly near future, hands over Jerusalem to someone, and that someone is biblically the Antichrist, perhaps this is the door they need opening to get there????

Some f the things Gaddafi did for his people and there are much much more that you are not reporting here that I find deceitful to say the least…

    1. There is no electricity bill in Libya; electricity is free for all its citizens.
    2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.
    3. Home considered a human right in Libya Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father has died while him, his wife and his mother are still living in a tent.
    4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$50,000) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start up the family.
    5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans are literate. Today the figure is 83%.
    6. Should Libyans want to take up farming career, they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and livestock to kick-start their farms all for free.
    7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government funds them to go abroad for it not only free but they get US$2,300/mth accommodation and car allowance.
    8. In Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.
    9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0.14 per liter.
    10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion now frozen globally.

Great Man-Made River project in Libya $27 billion.

    11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.
    12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is, credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.
    13. A mother who gave birth to a child receive US$5,000
    14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15
    15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree
    16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man-Made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.

Gaddafi started these Organizations to help Libyans and Africans and refused to do the bidding of the Rothschild-centered global banking cartel in 5 areas:

    · A Gaddafi-Centered African Union With A Common Currency
    · A Gaddafi-Run Central Bank Of Libya
    · A Gaddafi-Holding Of 150 Tons Of Gold
    · A Gaddafi-Run Libyan Oil Industry
    · A Gaddafi-Run ‘Blue-Gold’ Water Reserves

Unknown Source: And are stated irrefutable facts…

Gaddafi was trying to supply the whole of Africa with water, from the aquifer that’s right under Libya. The whole project was done with out taking any debt from the evil that is IMF and World bank. They did not like this and they targeted him from then on . This is not all about Oil, aquifer under Libya is something the elite want to control and not allow all of Africa to benefit from it.

Moamar Khadafi has led Libya for 42 years but just what did he do as leader over all those years for Libya? Let’s take a look.

Moamar Khadafi ousted the former King of Libya in a 1969 military coup. On September 1, 1969 Khadafi led that successful coup with a small group of Libyan military officers. The coup was bloodless and King Idris was ousted while he was visiting Turkey. Khadafi and his junior officers abolished the monarchy and proclaimed the Libyan Arab Republic.

Khadafi was born and raised in a bedouin tent in the desert near the Libyan town of Sirte. He came from a tribe of bedouin who are livestock herders who live in the area around the Hun Oasis in the Libyan desert. Khadafi attended a elementary school as a youth and it was at that time that he was very influenced by major events in the Arab world. He came to admire Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and viewed Nasser as a hero during his rise to power in Egypt in 1952. Khadafi finished his studies under a private tutor in Misrata concentrating in the study of history.

In 1961 Khadafi entered the Libyan military academy in Benghazi and graduated in 1965-66. He made his first plans to overthrow the monarchy while in military college in Benghazi. Later he went to Europe to further his studies. When he launched his coup and ousted King Idris, Khadafi initially limited citizen movement and clamped down on those who opposed him ruthlessly.

In 1951 Libya was the poorest country on the planet. Before NATO and the “rebels” began marching on Khadafi’s regime, Libya had the highest standard of living in Africa and ahead of Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil. One must give Khadafi credit for raising the standard of living of the average Libyan as it was do to his policies and reforms. Further, under Khadafi homes were considered a human right. Newly married couples in Libya received $50,000 from Khadafi’s government to buy their own home with. Khadafi’s regime also declared electricity to be FREE to all people living in Libya.

Moamar Khadafi vowed at one time to house every Libyan before he housed his own parents. He kept his promise and Khadafi’s own father died before he was able to be housed. Before Khadafi came to power less than 1/5th of Libyans were literate. Khadafi made education free for Libyan citizens and that education was made high quality. Today the literacy rate in Libya is 83%.

Khadafi also made healthcare free for Libyans and that health care is of high quality. Further, under Khadafi’s policies if Libyans cannot find the healthcare or education they need in Libya then the government pays for them to find it abroad. In addition, Khadafi ordered all loans to be interest free inside Libya and when a Libyan citizens buys a car in Libya the government pays 50% of the total cost for that car. BTW gasoline prices in Libya are 14 cents per gallon!!

Under Khadafi’s policies an Libyan wishing to become a farmer is given the use of free land, a home, farm equipment, livestock, and seeds by the government. In July of this year when the rebels and NATO began their revolt against Khadafi 1.7 million Libyans gathered in Green Square in central Tripoli in support of Khadafi and in opposition to NATO and the rebels. Hey these people knew they had it made under Khadafi, no? BTW these 1.7 million represent 95% of the Libyan population in the capitol of Tripoli and about 1/3 of the entire Libyan population. The Libyan Central Bank is the major bank in Libya. It is state owned and unlike any bank in the western world. It is NOT owned by the Rothchild’s and it issues debt free money!

In the 1990′s Libya was accused of being responsible for the Lockerbie bombing of Pan Am flight 103. It has been alleged that the US paid witnesses at the trial $4 million each to testify against the accused Libyan terrorists. In other words the witnesses were bribed to LIE and since the trial those witnesses have recanted their testimony. What has the US and it’s proxy army NATO got against MO anyhow?

    Libya’s Gaddafi

Recently, Khadafi has been trying to change payments for Libyan oil from the US dollar to the gold African dinar. Khadafi’s announcement to the world that he was trying to do this alarmed the US and Europe who called Khadafi’s attempts to leave behind the US dollar “a threat to the financial security of mankind.” A few months ago when the rebels began to take over Libya one of the first things they did was to establish a new central bank. This new central bank is owned by the Rothschild global banking family. It is estimated that the Rothchilds own about 1/2 of the world’s wealth. The Rothschild clan has a nasty habit of creating money out of thin air and loan it with high interest rates. This is a nice little racket they have going as it ensures that we NEVER have enough money to pay our loans back in the West!! Obviously Khadafi’s policies inside Libya do NOT benefit the Rothschild banking clan. Is THIS the REASON for the rebel and NATO attack to oust Khadafi???? He just wouldn’t play the global banking game so they decided to knock him out? Ah yes all the world is a stage…one big MONOPOLY GAME!! Khadafi refused to sell his people out and someone got mad especially after he threatened to stop accepting US dollars for oil and accept African gold dinars ONLY.

Under Khadafi, Libya has been debt free! With the newly formed and Rothschild owned central bank Libya will now join the ranks of other nations and will quickly become enchained in debt that can never be paid off just as we have in the US today! Libyans had a leader, MO, who had courage to stand up to the NWO and the NWO does NOT like it at all. Unlike other nations around the world Libyans got to share in the wealth and prosperity of their nation under Khadafi. That kind of thing really does NOT play well in international banking circles or in the halls of the NWO. If the NWO and Rothschild banking empire did not exist most people in the world today could be living a decent life but instead the majority of people in the world are living day to day in a constant state of struggle.

Financially most of the world’s people have been enslaved and savagely raped. Libyans will now get to experience the same with the ouster of Moammar Khadafi I suspect.

Khadafi had advocated DIRECT DEMOCRACY in Libya for decades now. He speaks about it much in his famous “Green Book.” Under his regime every Libyan citizen can vote in and is a member of Parliament. That is more of a democracy than we have in the USA which is a REPUBLIC not a democracy btw. Khadafi believes that every person should be allowed to represent themselves in government.

Many have been asking the question of why we are involved in Libya. Why did Obama put US forces and resources into Libya to oust Khadafi? Libya was NOT in our national interest nor did Khadafi pose any threat to our national security. Yet, Obama went ahead into Libya anyway. Was he ordered to do so by the NWO and the Rothschild banking empire? Thus far this seems the most plausible reason IMO…

    In closing:
There are always two sides to a story, it would suit us all well if we got into the habit of telling those two sides…The world fell for the Kosovo Serbian lie and in the process are culpable for the murder and horrific on going sufferings of thousands of Christian Kosovo Serbs at the hands of none other than the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood, all based on lies, so were the over throw of Mubarak and Gaddafi…Wake up and do a little research before falling to half truths and fabricated nonsense, it makes you culpable when spreading and giving praise to them..

I want you to know and clarify that I understand and applaud the purpose of your essay here in that we must seek out peace within our ever crowding world and meant in no way to come across as harsh, I take such things to heart and are passionate about the whole truth being told, so that they are absolutely clearly understood, I even failed to do so with my own blog about Gaddafi, but tired of the lopsidedness, half truths and out right lies as to why they’re being over thrown was a good thing when in fact, it’s proving to be a disaster with horrible consequences to the lives of those left in the wake of these bad decisions, I absolutely believe that both sides should a chance to be heard regardless of who they are, that the truth must remain the focal point regardless of our biases…
There should be a maintained peace in our civilization no matter the cost…But the United Nations is the wrong source for that peace when they too have become so horribly corrupted, don’t forget the inhumanities they have wrecked upon those places they were sent to help, including the Murders and rapes of innocent Kosovo Serbians, Somalians, Bosnians and others, other two sided storys with the truth being hidden from the world?
Had Gaddafi and Mubarak been replaced with peaceful rulers I would have agreed with most of your assessment minus the accolades for the United Nations…But there are just some things better left alone to their own vices, especially when they are not an immediate threat to the world, and neither Mubarak nor Gaddafi were.
We have to understand that our perception of Democracy may not be that of other country’s and I believe we have no business interloping and trying to change other their elected or even non elected governments period unless of course there are proven factual genocidal horrors being committed by those governments as was the case in Germany and Sicily, but we had better be there to insure a better replacement can be maintained, and the world thus far has failed to do that time and again and instead are making matters worse with their interferences, just as we did with Kosovo, Egypt, Libya, Iraq and soon Syria and Afghanistan…

Our one saving grace was the intervention in WWII with Germany and Japan, but we saw to it that there would never again rise from them another horror such as Hitler, Mussolini and Emperor Hirohito had become, and though we allowed Hirohito to remain in power, we controlled his appetite for evil, just as we were and are doing with Gaddafi, Mubarak, Assad, Abaas, Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas Ismail Haniyeh and King Abdullah?
